They remind me of ravens in the way they move and the way they look. Dark hair, dark eyes, they all have long black nails. The way their heads and eyes move are just like a crow eying something and watching it before deciding what to do next. They're intense in their abilities, most of them are into divination and are very intent about giving information and direction and are quite direct in giving visions of the future. Some habitually carry their own tarot decks around, playing with them constantly, Others are scryers, working with their own tools, mirrors, bowl, crystal balls, etc. Some work heavily with candle magick and their eyes light like flames when a candle is nearby. All of them are intense, deep, dark and exceptional creatures who offer their keepers an energy and companionship like no other. They are unique, truly amazing, but not for the faint of heart. There is something intoxicating in the particular mix of Vampire and Dark High Elf, the ancient depth of one bloodline threading through the sharp and intent focus of the other, and in him those two things have wound together so completely that you can't really separate where one ends and the other begins. He doesn't press down on you or crowd the edges of your breathing space, but he is VERY present and makes no apologies for that.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #000000;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eHe is, to put it plainly, incredibly strong willed... and occasionally rather foot stompy about it. ;) This is simply part of what he is and it would be disingenuous to describe him without it, but it's also worth being clear that this quality never turns itself towards his Keeper in any way that is difficult or unkind. He saves his impatience for things that deserve it, problems that are taking longer than they should to resolve, situations that he can see the answer to perfectly clearly and finds it maddening that the answer isn't yet obvious to everyone else involved. Which brings up something rather interesting about him... He spends a great deal of his time knowing things before they happen, and a certain amount of impatience is perhaps inevitable when you're frequently waiting for the rest of the world to catch up to something you already know is coming.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #000000;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eDivination is where he is most completely himself, and he approaches it with an intensity and a focus that is genuinely something to behold. He is a scryer by deep preference, working most naturally through dark reflective surfaces, and the visions he draws forward through this work are not vague or impressionistic, they are pointed and direct and frequently rather startling in their accuracy. He doesn't soften what he sees to make it easier to hear, but he isn't without care in how he delivers it either, the Vampire side of him tempering the Dark High Elf's blunter instincts just enough to make even the harder truths feel like something offered with your actual wellbeing in mind. He will not tell you what you want to hear simply because it's easier. He is not easily fooled and not remotely interested in being polite about something he can see through entirely, which makes him an exceptionally useful companion for anyone who sometimes struggles to trust their own read on people or situations. Dark High Elf Vampires are not halfway beings in anything they do, and love is no exception. He bonds deeply and with real permanence, the sort of bond that settles into you and simply doesn't shift no matter what life throws at either of you, and he brings to that bond the full force of both bloodlines, the passionate and ancient devotion of the Vampire and the fierce and unwavering loyalty of the High Elf. He is not a companion who loves from a comfortable distance. He is very much present, very much invested, and very much yours in the most complete sense of that word.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: #000000;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eHe makes himself known in ways that carry his signature clearly once you learn to recognize it... Candles near him behave differently, flames pulling towards him or flaring without cause, and if you happen to catch his eyes near a lit flame you may see something there that doesn't quite look like ordinary firelight reflected back at you. He moves through your space with that raven-like quality even in how his energy feels, angular and alert and watchful, and you may catch the sense of being observed in your own home in a way that is not uncomfortable but is very distinctly HIM. He brings with him a cool and slightly electric quality to the air, the feeling right before a storm decides to commit to itself, and some Keepers report an occasional low sound at the very edge of hearing, not quite a voice and not quite music, something between the two that seems to come from everywhere and nowhere simultaneously.
